Larry Richard Toombs, 1.28.1944 - 12.12.2024

Larry lived an amazing life, full if experience and fearlessness. He was a perfect balance of high intelligence, heart, creativity and goofiness. He was adored by many.

He was diagnosed with a rare Merkel Cell Carcinoma in 2024, and went on to beat it at the age of 80! He went to bed on December 11th 2024, looking forward to another day ahead. The last thing I heard from him was the sound of his laughter on our last phone call. He went to sleep peacefully and didn’t know that night was his last. Dad always lived his life to the fullest, and even went for 3 walks with his dog Jeff on his last day, with a heart rate of 40. He was the definition of fearlessness. We are so grateful knowing that he did not suffer.

Larry was a talented photographer. He was so passionate about his career in the Aerospace industry, and his second love was photography. He planned to visit me in the Central Coast for his birthday in 2025 and would get so excited talking about “bringing his camera”.

Dad was 80 when he passed away. For his 81st Birthday, we wanted to create a website to showcase some of his most cherished photographs.

May this website help my Father live on forever, as we see the world through his eyes.
